I'm a multimedia journalist specializing in narrative radio. I began working at The Stanford Storytelling Project in 2010, though I started making radio with them back in 2007 when I was a wee sophomore. From 2012-2014, I was managing editor of their podcast and radio show, State of the Human. In this capacity I instructed scores of undergraduates in radio and narrative craft, and, working with a small core staff, helped edit pieces about everything from transhumanist nanotech startups to the forgotten history of cowboys. During those years I lead- or co-produced 7 hour-long episodes.
I've also served as artist in residence at AS220 (the coolest place on earth), where I made a multimedia project about memory. And in the summer of 2014 I went to Nyahururu, Kenya, to train the staff of L'Arche Kenya in radio production, and to help share the stories of several community members with intellectual disabilities.
I currently work for Audible Comedy, which is a part of Audible.com. I lead produce Hot Mic With Dan Savage and Sounds Like Amerca.
I get my serious fun quotient by planning elaborate, strange, journey-based parties and theatre events. I also really care about effective altruism and socially responsible investing.
